Liman Restaurant was built in 1947 as a result of a competition arranged by the Ministery of Economics and İstanbul Harbour Administration. Artist İbrahim Çallı, author Yahya Kemal Beyatlı and many other artists have drank their rakı and were inspired by Limans fabulous panaromic view of the Bosphorous. It was the favorite choice for privileged Istanbul families weddings, engagements and other private parties.

Since its renovation by the Çapa family, Liman Restaurant also opened a Tavern in its second salon. Here guests enjoy the 5-star service of Liman Restaurant with live entertainment, delicious mezes (appetizers) and main dishes at an affordable price. Limans menu consists of Ottoman, Turkish, Macedonian and Greek dishes. Its view expands from the Topkapı Palace and Hagia Sophia to the Bosphorus and Galata Bridges. Its decor reflects 1950s elegance. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights are fasıl nights (traditional Turkish music) with Erkan Tokmak and oriental dance show by Dora.

You will find more than your typical tavern at Liman Tavern. Live Turkish folk music (fasil) on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays combined with Doras modern oriental show. Open everyday except Sundays. Pre-fix menu, including unlimited local alcoholic beverages is 70TL (80TL with a main dish).
